Before installing the Avast Business Anivirus client on your server operating system, please note the following...

We do NOT recommend enabling/installing either the Avast Firewall or Real Site components on any server operating system! The Avast Firewall and Real Site components are designed only for end user workstations, and these components may conflict with various server roles.

If you are using the Avast Business Antivirus Managed product...

  1. Firstly log into your Cloud Management (web) Console at https://business.avast.com/ or the Business Management (on-premise) Console
  2. Click on Device settings in the left panel
  3. Select settings template (such as Default)
  4. Click the Windows Server tab
  5. Next select the Active protection tab
  6. Then click the 3 dots next to Real Site component and click Uninstall this component

Terminal Servers

We do not support terminal servers. However, we only recommend to enable/install just the Avast File Shield component on terminal servers, but no other Avast components! If you are using the Avast Business Antivirus Managed product...

  1. Firstly Log into your Cloud Management (web) Console at https://business.avast.com/ or the Business Management (on-premise) Console
  2. Click on Device settings in the left panel
  3. Select settings template (such as Default)
  4. Click the Windows Server tab
  5. Next select the Active protection tab
  6. Then click the 3 dots next all Avast components, EXCEPT the File Shield component, and click Uninstall this component
